The Kadampa Buddhist meditation society exists to support all students and staff during their time at university. Our weekly classes are on a drop-in basis. We teach basic meditation techniques and give a short talk on how to reduce stress and increase inner peace in daily life.
"The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful.
When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arises from within. This feeling of contentment and well-being helps us cope with the busyness and difficulties of daily life."
- Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Transform Your Life
