The Kadampa Buddhist meditation society exists to support all students and staff during their time at university. Our weekly classes are on a drop-in basis. We teach basic meditation techniques and give a short talk on how to reduce stress and increase inner peace in daily life.
"The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful.
When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arises from within. This feeling of contentment and well-being helps us cope with the busyness and difficulties of daily life."
- Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Transform Your Life
Classes will start back in September

We also hold weekly classes at Dharmavajra Centre. Our centre is the regional centre for Kadampa Buddhist study, meditation and retreat in South and Mid Wales, and we are a member of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union, which has over 1100 centres and groups meeting worldwide. We aim to provide an environment in which anyone can come and discover for themselves the techniques of meditation and the peaceful Buddhist way of life.
