Public service at Dharmavajra Kadampa Buddhist Centre
We are committed to providing a beautiful and uplifting environment for the general public to enjoy. Everybody is welcome to visit the Centre, our gardens, meditation room and other facilities throughout the year. We offer accommodation and good food presented at reasonable rates and delivered by voluntary staff motivated by the wish to be of service to others.
Buddha's teachings are about helping others to be happy. One easy way to do this is to provide travelers and visitors with whatever they need for a comfortable and refreshing journey. Visitors can discover the simple kindnesses provided by the voluntary workforce at Dharmavajra KBC when eating or drinking in the Café or enjoying our other facilities.
Group visits and Public Speakers
We are able to offer the use of the centre to any group who would like to visit and find out more about Kadampa Buddhism and the benefits of inner peace. We can also provide speakers to your event or organisation if you would like us to visit you. To find out more, contact us or visit our Schools Visits page.
Kadampa Buddhist Health Care Chaplaincy
We are able to provide Kadampa Buddhist Health Care Chaplaincy services to health organisations that require spiritual support for their patients. We offer bedside visiting and we also offer a variety of meditation sessions for both staff and patients to help bring a more peaceful, calm and positive approach in the face of adversity.
Support for the local community
The centre is playing an increasingly active part in the local community and works with a number of organisations. In particular we work with representatives of Interfaith Swansea, the City of Sanctuary, Swansea Council for Voluntary Services, Sustainable Swansea, Discovery Project, VSO and Communities First in Merthyr Tydfil.
